the noted ballerina Marina Eglevsky; and with Sally Streets of the New
York City Ballet and Berkley Ballet Theatre. She holds a Bachelor of
Fine Arts in Dance from Arizona State University. Performing experience

Louis Company.
She has performed professionally with Atlanta Festival Ballet since
1994. Some of her most memorable roles include performing in Nicolas
Pacaña’s original works; Summer’s Eve, Woman of Crystals and Hold On;
and in Artistic Director Gregory Aaron’s Alice in Wonderland and Bella
Amore. She is well known for her interpretations of Arabian in Atlanta
Festivals Ballet’s The Nutcracker, and as the Lilac Fairy in The
Sleeping Beauty.
Ms Buchanan is the Associate Artistic Director for Atlanta Festival
Ballet, a semi-professional ballet company in Stockbridge, Georgia. At
AFB, she teaches extensively for both the school and company. With her
vast knowledge of dance, she has been very instrumental in building the
confidence of the students in AFB’s Open School Program and Intensive
Ballet Program.
Recently, Miss Jocelyn’s family moved from Stockbridge to Cumming.
Although she is not giving up her position with Atlanta Festival Ballet,
Miss Jocelyn is teaching lower and company level classes for the
Gainesville School of Ballet two days a week. She also assists Miss
Diane with company rehearsals when she can. We are thrilled to have her
with us!
