Ada has been studying dance for eleven years, the last seven with the Gainesville School of Ballet. She has attended
multiple summer intensives with the Joffrey Ballet and American
Ballet Theatre. Ada has been privileged to dance the role of
Clara in the 2008 production of the Nutcracker as well as the
role of Abu in the 2011 production of Aladdin, both experiences
she will never forget. She is currently a 10th grade honors
student at Lumpkin
County High
School. In addition to dance,
Ada
is involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Key
Club, is a member of
Dahlonega United Methodist
Church, and is the vice
president of her class and the president of the Beta Club. She
is very excited to be dancing with Gainesville Ballet Company
One for her second season. |

Annette
is a Brenau University
junior Dance Education major. She began studying dance at the
age of four under the direction of Therese Bullard and Carol
Radovic in Michigan. Her 24 years of dance experience
includes Vaganova ballet, Hip-hop, Modern, Jazz, Lyrical &
Highland dance. She spent seven seasons as a company member of
the Ann Arbor Ballet Theatre where she not only performed
principal roles, she also taught all class levels, ran
rehearsals, and choreographed for spring recitals. She spent
summers training with world-renowned companies including The Kirov Academy
& The Bolshoi Ballet. She performed with Brenau University
in last year’s Faculty and Senior Thesis concerts. Annette is
excited to dance her first season with Gainesville Ballet
Company One.

Caitlin
is a freshman dance major at
Brenau University, where she is on dance, academic and Trustee
scholarships. From
Powder Springs,
Georgia, she studied at Ruth
Mitchell Dance Theatre in
Marietta
since age five under the direction of Lisa Toups and Shelley S.
Grames.. At RMDT she
performed numerous leading roles in many classical ballets
including Snow Queen in The Nutcracker, March Hare in Alice in
Wonderland, Cinderella, Peter Pan, and Sleeping Beauty.
While there she has also studied contemporary, jazz and
modern dance under the direction of Candess Giyan, George Staib
II, Dwight Rhoden, Sam Watson and the late Antonio Sisk.
In conjunction with Ruth Mitchell Dance Theatre’s
community involvement, she taught jazz in the after school
program and The Arts Academy at Hickory Hills Elementary School.
This is Caitlin’s first season as a member of the Gainesville
Ballet’s Company One.

Cara
has been studying dance for thirteen years; the first ten years under the
direction of Bernadette Campbell at the Buford School
of Ballet. While
there Cara also studied modern, jazz, hip-hop, and tap.
She has attended summer intensives with the
Atlanta
Ballet and the Orlando
Ballet. Last spring
she performed one of the lead roles in Aladdin.

Gainesville Ballet Company. |

Catherine is a homeschooled
student now in her senior year.
Catherine has trained in
ballet for eleven years, the last seven with the
Gainesville
School
of Ballet. In The Brown Velveteen Rabbit, Catherine had the
privilege of performing her first solo role as the Mother Duck
toy. Last year Catherine performed The Spirit of Christmas,
Marzipan, and the Waltz of the Flowers in The Nutcracker. In
2007 Catherine attended the Georgia Ballet summer intensive.
Catherine has worked backstage helping with load-in, setup, and
light preparation. She is also volunteers backstage helping with
building sets, painting back drops, and any technical assistance
needed.
For the last four years
she has served as a
Gainesville School of Ballet student demonstrator,
and she has been a student assistant in the
Gainesville
School
of Ballet’s children’s summer dance camps. This is her third
year to perform as a member of the Gainesville Ballet Company
One. |

Chelsea
has been studying dance with the
Gainesville
School of
Ballet for fourteen years. She is a senior at
North
Hall
High School
where she has received the Renaissance Award and also sings with
the NHHS chorus. Chelsea is a proud member of New Holland
Baptist Church where she is a member of the youth group, sings
in the praise team and has been on several mission trips. In her
spare time, Chelsea enjoys singing,
playing the guitar, photography, and spending time with friends
and family. Chelsea is ecstatic to be dancing her first and
final season with Gainesville Ballet Company One! |

Courtney,
a sophomore BFA dance major at Brenau University is very excited
to begin her first year with the Gainesville Ballet Company.
In her first year at the University, she has had the
opportunity to perform in the innovative spring Faculty Concert,
Games People Play. Her subtle, yet complex roles included a pawn
and a crook. She
also had the special opportunity to work with esteemed guest
choreographer Jacques Heim of Diavolo. Courtney has attended the
Kansas City Ballet Summer intensive and spent two consecutives
summers in the Atlanta Ballet’s advanced summer program.
She is a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta freshman honor
society and is on the Dean’s List.
In addition to dancing, Courtney is pursuing a dual major
in business and enjoys acting, art and running.

Ellie
began
dancing at the age of three and has trained with the Gainesville
School of Ballet
since she was five.
She has had the opportunity to
attend summer intensives with the American Ballet Theatre,
Gwinnett Ballet Theatre, and the
Duluth
School
of Ballet.
Ellie has been privileged to
perform soloist roles in several GBC productions including
Clara, Christmas Angels, and Chinese in The Nutcracker and the
Gypsy Queen in Aladdin.
She has also loved assistant
teaching children’s ballet and jazz classes.
Ellie is a homeschooled high school
sophomore, and studies piano and music theory in addition to
dance.
Ellie is thrilled to be a member of
the Gainesville Ballet Company for her third season. |

Kasey
has studied the art of
dance since the age of six.
She has performed the roles of “Clara” in The Nutcracker
and “The Witch’s Cat” in Hansel and Gretel. Kasey has also
studied with the
Louisville
Ballet and Texas Ballet Theatre at their summer intensives.
When Kasey is not dancing, she enjoys playing the oboe,
singing, and reading.
She is a ninth grade honor student at
Habersham
Central High
School where she enjoys
participating in the band and chorus. Kasey is also an active
member of First Presbyterian Church of Cleveland.
She is excited to be performing her first year with the
Gainesville Ballet Company One!

Laura has trained with the
Gainesville
School of Ballet for
fifteen years. She has performed lead roles such as “The Rabbit”
in The Brown Velveteen Rabbit, Jaffa
in Aladdin, and Spanish soloist, Angel soloist, and the Arabian
Dancer in The Nutcracker. This past summer, she trained with the Royal Dance
Academy under the
instruction of Christian Clark. Laura is a senior at
Gainesville High School where she is a member of the National
Honor Society, Beta Club, Math Club, National Art Honor Society,
Key Club, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Along with
dance, she shares a passion for mission work with Westminster Presbyterian
Church, art, and photography. Laura is thrilled to be in her
fourth season with the Gainesville Ballet Company. |

Madeline, a junior honor student
at Gainesville High School, began her studies in dance fourteen
years ago with the
Gainesville
School
of Ballet. In addition, she has attended summer intensive
programs with the Alabama Ballet in
Birmingham and the
Royal
Dance
Academy
in Suwanee. While a member of the Gainesville Ballet
Junior Company, Madeline was honored to perform the role of
"Clara" in The Nutcracker. As a Senior Company member, Madeline
has performed the soloist role in “Marzipan” in The Nutcracker.
Along with her love of dance, Madeline enjoys being a leader in
her school and church.
She is a member of the
National Honor Society, the National Beta Club, the Spanish
Honor Society, and is serving for the third year on the
Gainesville
High School
Student Council.
Madeline
is thrilled to be in her fourth season with the Gainesville
Ballet’s Company One. |

Margaret,
a ballet student of thirteen years, has studied for seven years
with Gainesville Ballet under the instruction of
Diane Callahan. She has received summer training at the American
Ballet Theatre’s program in Alabama
and Carolina Ballet’s intensive in North Carolina. This past summer, Margaret
had the privilege of attending the Bolshoi Ballet Academy Summer
Intensive in New York City, where she was taught by instructors
from the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow.
As a sophomore honor student at
North Hall High School,
Margaret enjoys reading, art, and spending time with family and
friends. Margaret is thrilled to be in her third season
performing with the Gainesville Ballet Company! |

Mary Victoria has been
studying dance with the
Gainesville School of Ballet for thirteen years. She
has attended summer intensives with the
Montgomery
Ballet and Metropolitan Ballet Theatre. Currently, she is a
sophomore honor student at North Hall High. She is an active
member of First
Baptist Church
in Gainesville,
where she is involved with the youth group and is a member of
the Sonlight Youth Choir and the Sonlight Handbell Choir. Mary
Victoria is delighted to be in her third season with the
Gainesville Ballet Company One.

Olivia has been dancing for ten years, having studied
with the Gainesville School of Ballet for the past seven. She
has attended summer intensives with Joffrey South in
Milledgeville, and The Rock School
in Philadelphia.
As a junior company member, she performed the exciting roles of
“Clara” in
The
Nutcracker and “Dopey the Dwarf” in
Snow
White. A freshman honor student at
Lumpkin
County High
School, Olivia is an active member of
Summit
Youth at Dahlonega Baptist Church,
where she has assisted in
Vacation
Bible School
and volunteered on mission trips. She also spent her eighth
grade year as a peer leader, tutoring elementary school students
and helping organize school events. Olivia is thrilled to be
continuing with a second season in Gainesville Ballet’s Company
One! |

Phalan has trained with the Gainesville School of Ballet for
fifteen years and has attended summer intensive programs with
the Atlanta Ballet at Milledgeville, the Alabama Ballet in
Birmingham and the International Ballet Academy in Greenville,
SC. She has performed the
role of “Clara” in The Nutcracker, as well as Candy Cane
soloist. She also danced
title role in The Brown Velveteen Rabbit and “Hansel” in Hansel
and Gretel. Phalan has
been a volunteer with the Gainesville Ballet’s Boys
and Girls Club outreach program for three years. Phalan is a
senior honor student at Gainesville High School where she
participates in Key Club, Fellowship of Christian Athlete and
National Honor Society. She is a member of First Presbyterian
Church and is actively involved with the youth group and sings
in the youth choir. Phalan is delighted to be in her fourth year
in the company |

Reagen has been dancing since the age of five, having
studied with the Gainesville School of Ballet for nine years. In past
performances, she has danced the part of “Clara” in The
Nutcracker and as “Sleepy” in Snow White. She has attended
summer intensives with Joffrey South in Milledgeville, the
Royal
Dance Academy
in Suwanee, and Metropolitan Ballet Theater in Alpharetta. She
also has attended the National Young Leaders Conference in
Washington
D.C., Boston,
and Atlanta.
Reagen is a freshman at
Lakeview
Academy where she is a
straight “A” student.
While in middle school, she was a member of the Junior
Beta Club. In her spare time, Reagen enjoys astronomy and
spending time with her family. This is Reagen’s second season
with the Gainesville Ballet Company One.

Sarah, a homeschooled, 9th grade honors student, Sarah began ballet training
at the age of five and has been with the Gainesville School
of Ballet for six years.
She has attended
Montgomery
Ballet’s Summer Intensive.
Sarah attends Grace Calvary Episcopal Church and has
served as both torch bearer and Crucifer.
When not dancing, Sarah enjoys hanging out with friends,
listening to music and watching Degrassi.
Sarah is proud to begin her first year dancing with
Company One.

Savannah Lee is a freshman dance major at
Brenau
University where she is on
a Presidential scholarship.
At the age of ten, she started her serious training with
the Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education
(ABCDE), under the direction of Sharon
Story, reaching the highest level of the
pre-professional division by age fifteen.
While training with ABCDE, she was selected by the
Atlanta Ballet to perform with the company in The
Nutcracker, Romeo & Juliet, Swan Lake
and many more company ballets.
Her summer intensives include Atlanta
Ballet, Washington School of Ballet,
the Kirov
Ballet
Academy, and American Ballet Theater in
New York and Central
Pennsylvania Youth Ballet.
Savannah was one of twelve American dancers chosen to
attend the Royal Ballet Summer School at Covent Garden,
London. A
further opportunity presented itself and
Savannah moved to Pennsylvania, where she became a member of
the Pittsburgh Youth Ballet Company.
At PYBC, she performed as the Lilac Fairy in Sleeping
Beauty, the Dewdrop Fairy and Sugar Plum Fairy in The
Nutcracker, and the Autumn Fairy in Cinderella.
She has also performed principal roles in numerous
Balanchine works including the Lead Butterfly in A Midsummer
Night’s Dream, the title role in Raymonda and the lead role in
Western Symphony.
Recently, she participated in the Youth American Grand Prix and
received a grade “A” in both the classical and contemporary
categories. Savannah
is excited to be a freshman at Brenau University and a member of
the Gainesville Ballet Company.
