A favorite holiday tradition of North Georgians is attending GBC’s annual production of the Nutcracker. Children’s School Matinees Thursday, December 4 10am & Noon Friday, December 5 10am & Noon Public Performances Friday, December 5 7:30 p.m. Saturday, December 6 2:00 p.m. & 7:30 p.m. Sunday, December 7 2:00 p.m.

This year, GBC has produced an extra special dance experience! Jonah Hooper, current Atlanta Ballet principal dancer, Blue Ridge native, and former Gainesville Ballet Company member, will perform a contemporary Pas de Deux with Kristine Necessary who is also an Atlanta Ballet principal dancer. Peter & Tiffany Swan of Southeastern Alabama Dance Company will perform a Pas from Romeo & Juliet. The company will perform the most popular excerpts from Snow White, and its most recent repertory works. A thrill for adults and children alike! |

Each May, from beginning student to advanced dancer, from hip-hop to ballet, the school’s students perform for their family and friends before a packed house! Advanced ballet school students, who are also members of the Gainesville Ballet Company, will perform favorite repertory works during the school’s recitals. This production vividly demonstrates a dancers’ progression resulting from years of training. |

This is a treat! Each Spring, GBC performs exciting, dramatic and entertaining new repertory works and a children’s storybook ballet. This March, join us for the magic, intrigue and ultimate joy as Snow White is cast from her father’s castle into the forest, meets seven new adorable friends, is tricked by the evil queen and, finally, is awakened by the kiss of her handsome prince! |
