Text Box: The Ballet Guild exists to support the Gainesville Ballet Company, the ballet company for northeast Georgia. Before the first toe points on the stage, Ballet Guild volunteers are there. We usher, sell concessions, work backstage, wrap flowers and gifts for sale in the Boutique, and socialize when an opportunity arises, among other activities at other times during the season. As an active Guild member, you have an opportunity to learn things about ballet productions the audience never sees. For the 2008-2009 season, The Ballet Guild will assist the Gainesville Ballet Company in producing three company works, Nutcracker, a Spring storybook ballet and Dancing in Dahlonega. We have accepted the challenge of growing the Diane Callahan Gainesville Ballet Endowment Fund to ensure the financial strength of the company in the future and to finance the production of additional smaller ballets for special community events and festivals. As a sustaining Guild member, you can assist in supporting the ballet in the current season and in the seasons to come.
