choreographed dance segments for Three-penny Opera, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, Into the Woods, Oklahoma!, Secret Garden, and Damn Yankees.
Christina danced with Colorado Ballet Apprentices, Speaking of Dance Modern Dance Company in Denver, Expansions Contemporary Ballet, and the Pittsburgh Playhouse Dance Theater Company where she performed lead roles in Night before Christmas, Paquita, Cinderella, Graduation Ball, and Don Quixote. She also danced in Napoli with Ballet Classical of Havana, Cuba and with Ballet Arts Minnesota / Minnesota Dance theater school and Martha Marr School of Ballet / Miami Ballet Jr. Company. Christina is excited to serve her first year with the Gainesville Ballet Company as its Junior Company Director.

For the past 5 years, Alyssa has been teaching ballet and contemporary dance forms to students of all ages in both the Atlanta area and East Texas. She is excited to be back in North Georgia, working with the Gainesville School of Ballet and Gainesville Ballet’s Junior and Apprentice Companies.

ALYSSA is GBC’s former Junior Company Director and will continue to serve as one of its principal instructors. Coming from a military family, Miss Alyssa trained all over the U.S. and abroad, including a year-long ballet intensive with the famed Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. She holds a degree in dance from UGA, Athens where she had the opportunity to perform with the pre-professional modern dance company, CORE, as well as train with such professionals as Joan LaGhee, Molissa Finley, Kent DeSpain, and Matt Kent of Pilobolus. Other training includes jazz with Cornelius Carter of the University of Alabama, Limon technique with Alan Danielson in New York, and two years at Brenau University under Vincas Green and Carol Smiarowski.
